The Board of Directors of MSAD 6 is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Penna as Superintendent of Schools effective March 21, 2017.

The Selection Committee unanimously recommended Mr. Penna to the School Board, and the Board in turn selected him unanimously.

Mr. Penna is a highly respected member of the MSAD 6 community, currently serving as Interim Superintendent for the District. Prior to that, he served as Principal of Bonny Eagle High School from 2013- 2016. Both as Interim Superintendent and as Principal of Bonny Eagle High School, he has demonstrated a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and passion for continuous improvement district-wide.

The Board believes this appointment allows us to maintain continuity in the implementation of the district strategic plan, as well as the proficiency-based standards initiative. Mr. Penna’s proven leadership, participation within the community, and positive relationships built during his tenure in MSAD 6 all weighed in the hiring decision.
