MSAD #6 uses a service called School Messenger which enables us to communicate with parents about emergency situations, attendance and other important issues impacting your child. It allows us to send personalized voice messages to your family’s home, work or cell phones, email communications, and even text messages. We are able to reach everyone in the district within minutes.
School Messenger (https://go.schoolmessenger.com/#/home) allows you to create an account, and specify which numbers and email addresses you have provided to us via the Synergy parent portal, should receive different types of messages. Please see the directions on the reverse side for creating a School Messenger account and choosing which number(s)/email address(es) should receive each type of message. PLEASE NOTE: Emergency messages will go to ALL numbers and email addresses noted in the system due to their nature. These are messages such as school closings, early releases due to weather, or school emergencies.
To receive a Text message from the district/school(s), you must give authorization by sending a Y or Yes to 67587. Once you have given authorization, you can opt-out at any time by texting STOP to 67587. You would then no longer receive text messages until you opt-ed back in again by sending the Y or Yes to 67587.
Please help us ensure we have your current information by verifying your household information on the Synergy Parent Portal at https://me-bea-psv.edupoint.com/PXP2_Login.aspx (if you do not have a current parent portal account, please contact your child’s school for your activation key) or by contacting the school and giving them your updated information; please only give your numbers you would actually like to receive calls at. Please be aware the School Messenger service cannot dial an extension, so be sure the numbers you include are direct lines. We recommend that attendance messages be routed to a number you can always be reached at during the day.
